Japanese Beetles
This pest will decimate many leafy plants. This is what they did to my Morning Glory leaves.
I have also found them on my grape leaves and in my birch tree. I put up a couple of Japanese Beetle traps and they work well. I have been told, however, that the traps will attract them from afar but I don't mind helping keep them away from my neighbor's plants too. If you can, take time each day to look over your leaves and check for these beetles. They are easy to spot and just as easy to catch and kill. If you disturb the leaf they are gnawing on they will first let go and try to fall off. I carry a jar with some soapy water and knock them in before they can take flight.
